Found this little guy on a high rock in my 2 month old tank. Very small, maybe a quarter of an inch, I think its some kind of nudibranch. That is not a very common hitchhiker is it? Anyway, I was pretty excited. Anyone ID?
Before you decide it is inhumane to kill the nudibranch...read the following http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-05/rs/index.php and they multiply quickly so I would suggest that while it might not be near it's intended food source (polyp or anem) it will get there and cause distruction. They are typically specialized.
I would remove it...I had a nudi specilized in zoas, wasn't fun to try and get rid of them once they started to multiply.
