I'm new here. I have a 12 gal bowfront, about 3 wks old, with a pr. of black widow tetras, a pr. of bleeding heart tetras, a cory and a very shy bristlenose pleco -- some of which came out of a 5 gal. hex before we got the 12 gal. We're still in the middle of cycling but with daily 50% water changes and a little Amquel +, well almost daily, the ammonia levels are tolerable. With water changes every other day, how much longer will it be before the ammonia is gone (and am I doing anything wrong)?

thanks!

Welcome to AC! Post your questions in the FW forums and you will get more responses. Personally, I would be doing water changes when ever you have indications of ammonia or nitrites.
