i've read things on moving the tanks and stuff but my question is that they say the tank need to recyle depending on its size but when you empty out the tank does it have to go through cycle again or does the tank alread have bacteria.

how long is the tank going to be empty for? most of the bacteria would be one the tank's decoration and gravel. so if you keep that stuff wet in the old tank water, you will be fine. BTW. you have a w210? I have a '01 320 sport all options except xenon -john

it wouldn;'t be empty for lon but i just wanted to know since we might move soon, yes i got a 98e320 ....

it will be fine then, just gravel vac a lot before moving and dont feed them for a few days and then when you move save as much water as you can and keep all the gavel and stuff in water and when you move set everything back up and they should be fine.
