? about my Rena Xp1

I use a Rena canister filter on my 20 gallon aquarium. I use bio chem zorb in the canister. The directions say to rinse the bag before putting it into the canister. I was wondering how long i am suppose to rinse it for? i dotn want to it rinse it for too long and waste it. The directions say to rinse, until it clears, but form my experience it has never even come close to clearing. Just wondering if someone else uses this type and can help me out?

I've used one for about a year. Just keep shifting the media until the water is fairly clean. Nice filter, but I use bags that I fill with carbon and zeolite. The pre-made packets start adding up to a lot of money.

How long did that normally take??? I usually do it for a min or two, and it doesnt clear up.
