i thought it would be dark, but its a light peatish color.. kind of orange/natural combined. i dont like it, but i opened both the bags to see what color they were.
i feel like a fool.
what do you guys think about it?

Why did you open both bags?


A)If you really don't like it, it's not that expensive, and you could just give it away on craigslist

B)If you just *kinda* don't like it, fill your tank with plants, grow a thick lawn, cover it up.

i opened both bc i thought the other one might be a different color lol. im an idiot.
but yeah i think im going to give it away

try wetting it, some substrates change color when wet. (just make sure not 2 wet both bags )

You can also maybe use it as a bottom layer for the substrate, and on top of that add some regular gravel

lmao thanks bk for that helpful hint of not to wet both bags.:wall:
but yeah i tried wetting it, it just turns out a lil darker. my only planted tank has sand as the substrate, so i couldnt put that under the sand bc the sand would end up on top of it.
man, i was so excited when i saw it @ home depot, then it turns out to be orangish lol.
