I am trying to find a 20" (overall) twin tube light fixture for my 10g planted tank. Does anyone know where I could find one, if anyone makes one? Or how difficult would it be to retrofit a single tube setup to hold 2 bulbs? I currently have a incadesent hood using screw-in fluorescents, but would like to get a fixture that shields the bulbs better. Right now, the bulbs are exposed to the water, except for the flimsy plastic shields over them and I find that I am having to replace them when they stop working about every 3 months, sometimes less.

I'm not entirely sure what it is. It could be the light socket itself is going bad. Now that I think about it, it is almost always the bulb on the right side that goes out. I've replaced it at least 3 times in the past year, but the left one has been replaced only once. It might the the airstone on the right side of the tank that is causing it (I use Excell for carbon instead of co2). Thanks for the link, something like that is what I would like.

Ahsupply is a great site. You wont be dissappointed with their products.

Only complaint I've ever had is that the lights are a tad expensive.....although I have to say that its worth it. the lights are brighter and more durable.
