i heared they eat drift wood, does this mean that after awill i will need to buy new drift wood, because they eat it all, what do i feed them, i have zucinie dried blood worms aluge waffers, and meat pelets

help

it'll take some time for them to consume the driftwood.

All depends on the size of the wood and your clown. But i'd say you are safe for several months at the minimum. Also your other food selection sounds fine but try to keep the high protein food as a treat once or twice a week rather than everyday. Hope your new plec enjoys your tank.

It usually takes several years for a small group of small, wood eating plecos to do anything significant to a piece of driftwood.

so what other food will they eat

cucumber, shelled peas, mushrooms (remove after about an hour tho). the wafers, zuchinni and the 3 i listed will benefit him well! (what i fed my pleco and he started to get bigger in 3 weeks!)

any type of peas

any type of peas

My clown pleco isn't so keen on peas, but he loves brocoli stems better than cucumber or zucchini.

(Just cut and trim the tough outer skin first)

I've heard you can put veg in raw but I prefer to quickly boil (about 2 mins) to kill any bacteria, and quicky put in cold water to stop the cooking process.
You can freeze the stems for future use, just thaw out before you put in tank.

Note: I know some people give brocoli florets to their fish, but I expect that the tank is a complete mess with floating brocoli particles afterwards, so, I think you'll be better off just using the stems for the fish and feed yourself the brocoli florets.:)
