I might get a few for my empty(except for a few fry) 10g, and wanted to kow as much about them as possible.
I won't be getting them for a few weeks if I do.
What do they like?
I know the ones at my LFS like bloodworms, BS, and flakes, anything else?

Thawed/live worms are usually all you can get them to eat. Some will take pellets, but it isn't commonplace.

I've heard that before, that's why I was surprised at them eating those things.. I just got a bunch of live blackworms and have mosquito larvae and some other larvae(forgot the name).
I don't think they can eat the adult blackworms, can they?

My ADFs can eat a huge pinch of bloodworms at a time. I don't think 1 adult sized bloodworm would even fill him up. Go for a pinch of bloodworms each every 2 days.

Alrighty, I may be going to a LFS tomorrow, and I'll check out their albino ADFs.

Beware, the albino's are usually ACF's (african clawed frogs) which get pretty large and will eat most smaller fish. ADF's stay about an inchish and are very docile and are usually brownish in color.

I don't mind getting an ACF, that would give me a reason to set up another tank
I almost got an adult albino ACF that was in NC... but I didn't want to risk him dying on the trip home.

They are pretty cool. Very easy to hand feed.

Well I got an ADF... lol I knew what he was, and I got 25% off because he has a deformed leg.. he's special :D
I have him in a net to keep him away my fry for a while.

Lol I asked for an ACF and he said they didn't carry clawed frogs :headshake2: Either way.. I'm happy with him, I didn't like ADFs as much as ACFs.

Cute. I have two ADFs and two ACFs (in seperate tanks, of course) and they all eat pellets along with frozen foods. The ACFs eat right out of my fingers and they are still teeny tiny babies. About as big as the ADFs right now. Have fun with your froggy. He's cute.

Aww, he's already eating bloodworms from my hand.. I'll get him some live mosquito larvae tomorrow, and he'll have guppies and mollies all year round.

My ADF are way too blind to catch their own fry. I freeze the fry and then thaw and use as needed. I target feed them, along with brine shrimp with a turkey baster.

Would he like ghost shrimp? I was thinking about getting some for my senegal anyway.
Your frog is an ACF and with a predatory nature, it'll eat shrimps.

awww he's so cute! ADFs need a more varied diet than just bloodworms, but this guy you have many possibilities for with diet. I don't own em since they're illegal here, but I'm sort of turning into a frog addict, so if they were I probably would. I love my ADFs, though!

I might have to wait until he's a bit bigger, since all of the shrimp at my LFS are almost as big as he is...
I know that.. lol if I tap something in front of him he grabs it.

Thank you :)
He gets live blackworms and mosquito larvae, any "extra" fry I have, and I give him brine shrimp as a treat, since there isn't much nutrition in them.
He is sharing his tank with a tiny baby bichir, and steals bits of his beef heart cubes too.

Yep, that's why the bichir will be moved when he/she reaches 3"-4" to my 55g, then a 75g =)
