Just picked up a couple GE Energy Smart 6500k 10w cfs for my 10g. Maybe it's just me, but my tank looks extremely bright. Is 20w too much for a 10G? Also curious to know if I should be using co2, since I've never really looked into why some tanks need it and some don't.

20w of cfl's is perfect for a 10g.
With these there some other variables involved before one can draw a conclusion as to whether or not C02 or ferts. are needed.
How are they installed? Are there reflectors, type?
What plants do you currently have or want to have?
