i caught a mantis shrimp. but what kind???

i caught this fellow at folly beach, south carolina low tide from a hole he was peeking out of...about 15 feet from a rock jetty in about 2 inches of water....water temp is near 67 F. he has green eyes. and yellow/navy blue on its tail...........these are be best pics i could take of it....................its bout 5 inches long too

i had a dip net....i got about 6 inches behind the back of his hole and i used my cupped hand like a shovel to scoop toward him really fast....it freaked him out and he came flying out of its hole into the net :)
 
So you had to drop your tank's temperature? Feed it crazy stuff!
 
not really, i have a tank with critters from the beach. so i try to keep it consistent with ocean temps............it actaully ate on some grass shrimp i brought back with me as well..

Most try to get rid of em....your out catching em....ROFL

Awesome little critter though!
 
great lookin shrimp.......wish i still lived on the coast now that i have a salt tank!!!! LOL
