HI everyone,

I was looking for some input on whether 5 red glass barbs (rosy barb) would be to much for a 65 gallon planted tank.

The current/future inhabitants are

8 regular tiger barbs
8 green tiger barbs
1 rainbow shark

Would adding 5 red glass barbs be to much? I know they get about 5 inches. I have read they stay lower in the tank. My tigers stay towards the top.

Filtration is a AC 70 and an AC 50. Tank dimensions are 36/18/24

Any thoughts?

Also does any one know for sure if they are from Asia? I've read some things stating Asia others India.

Thanks :)

I think a small school of these barbs in the 65 will be fine. As far as I know, these fish originate from Asia.

They should be fine. Rosy barbs don't usually get more than 4".

To be honest, I've never heard of the name, red glass barbs, until it was pointed out to me in this topic (http://www.fishforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=8325).
