My Discus

I wanted to post pics of my Discus for a while now but I have been battling Beard Algae for about 6 months. I figured with the high class fish keepers here that my tank should look its best. I decided screw it and took some pics of my fish to show em off to you all and some co-workers.

I am thinking that if I try to grow super healthy algae in mass amounts that my ludwigia and amazon swords will flourish and all my algae will die.:)

The first fish is a 2 yr old Pideon Blood about 7in.

The second together for size comparison

Third is 2 fish same age but 1 is a runt (look at the eyes for size).

The last is a 1 yr old Red Leopard Snakeskin 5-6in.

Hi RedScare. Glad you said the heck with the algae in the pics.....your fish are beautiful! All of them, and I love the runts, they seem to have such spunk! I have a runt in my sid herd, the most active sid in the tank, eats a bulging belly full every day.....half the size of the rest of them! When I raised dogs, people always went for the runts first. Even the runt pups had outstanding personalities! Hope to see more pictures like these soon!

Beautiful fish. I may not be able to keep discus like you can, but I'll pit my algae growing skills against yours any day. :)

Great looking fish! They are absolutely beautiful. Don't worry about the algae there guy, it happens to the best of us:)
