this is a how to for a nano hob fuge for a ten gallon tank. it will fit any ten gallon or 20 gallon tank but it is best suited for a ten gallon. first off a list of supplies and tools.

a t square and an acrylic knife scrap piece of wood
50047

50048
weld on# 16 weld on #3 aplicater for weld on 3 and tape masking tape works best
50049
acrylic sheeting they sell 10x8x1/8 @ lowes you will need 5 sheets
50050
sand paper 100 grit i use the sticky kind so it will stick to the wood
50051
scrap 2x4 at least a foot long
50052
your fist cuts are 10x3.5 and 7-7/8x3.5 use the 2x4 so all your 3.5 widths are the same scour the acrylic 3-5 times and place the line on the 2x4 and snap it off. after these cuts are made tape the sides and bottom to the back. it should look like this make sure to sand all edges before taping
50053
now flip it over and turn the sides and bottom up and tape together these pieces should sit on top of the bottom
50054
go around all of the edges with weld on 3
50055
flip it over and put some weight on it this bucket has about a gallon in it

while that is drying get out you drill "cordless" DO NOT use a corded drill.1-1/16" drill git and your t square mark the front piece for the bulkhead holes 1.5 inches from top 1.25 inches from the outside
50061
fill the sink or a shallow pan with water and place the wood and front into the water for drilling. drill slowly
50062
you will probably have to sand it for the bulkheads DO NOT force the fittings through the whole. they should slide in and out easily

it should look like this when done
50064
now go back to the back and side pieces and get out the weld on 16
i have found if you let it run down the seam it comes out mush better. just let it flow DO NOT over squeeze the tube it will leave a mess let it puddle in the bottom corners a bit so it can then be tilted to allow the weld on to run the bottom seams

line up the front and tape it on

50070

go around all the edges with weld on 3

50071

when done put your weight back on it
get out the 2x4 and cut a piece 4.5X3.5 a piece 3.5X1.5 a piece 3.5X3.5
50072

after making these cuts take the 1.5 and 3.5 piece and make an L shaped piece from the two

50073
50074
take the 4.5x3.5 piece and slide it into the fuge on the left side . it should firt snug. go around it with #3 and #16
50075
install you L piece on the right ( make sure there is room for bulkhead50076
weld on three and 16
take a scrap piece 3.5 X1 for a top brace in the middle weld #3 only
50077
you will also need a piece of viynil tubing foot long x 5/8 O D
slide it into the left bulkhead al the way behind the baffle

Thats exactly like mine that I made back in April. Works great. Although I dont let it hang free because thats alot of weight for a 10 gallon to hold so I built a stand for it.
