I have acquired several new corals and frags the last two days from local reefers and let me just say a BIG THANK YOU to Grins for writing that about joining a local reef club in your articles for newbies!!!! :bowing:
A guy in my LRC posted in the Members Only section on Tuesday night that he had purchased a quantity of FL Ricordeas in order to pass the savings on to his fellow members because he's heard a lot about FL cracking down on the collection of Rics. He didn't get just any old little baby Rics either, these babies are big & multiplying! And he was counting them as 1 even if it had 4 mouths and was in a long strand of Rics getting ready to split!
So this morning, I went and got 4 of the most gorgeous Ricordeas and I'm not even telling how little I paid for them! :silly: 2 of them have 3 mouths, 1 has 4 mouths and 1 has 2! They're already getting all fluffy and nice in my tank too! :headbang2:
I spent like 3 hours this afternoon rearranging things to make everything perfect and try to get everyone a good spot.
Also, last night, I picked up a Tyree's Toadstool frag, about a half inch tall, but already all open and pretty! And a small zoa frag that everyone here is calling Radioactive Dragon Eyes. Gotta love the names they come up with to make these things more pricey. It's really pretty though, has a bright teal center.
I have a few pics, but I'll try to take some better ones tomorrow. I couldn't get my camera to focus in good on the Rics. Plus, we put in one new 14K MH bulb tonight. I didn't know what a HUGEMONGOUS difference it would make. It's like half the tank is daylight now and the other half is twilight. So we're getting the other new bulb this weekend.
It's still pretty much the Wall O Rock, but I'm trying to make it a prettier Wall, with more places to put things. Tell me what you think!
