I have been battling with my lettuce Nudi getting sucked into my Koralia, I thought I had it licked only to find him today with atleast a third of his back half missing and most of his frills.

I'm sure i've solved the problem now, I took the bag for my carbon (real thin mesh) chopped it up and put my koralia inside it like a sock. I don't see anyway this could be a problem in the future, and shouldn't cut down the fan's water movement power too much. Anyone have any devils advocate comments on this solution?

That said, the nudi still seems to be alive, but anyone have experience with their ability to recover from such an injury?

hehe, old thread.

I ended up shielding the koralias with netting in order to protect him. This worked great and he started to recover... then he got sucked down the overflow and I found him dead on my filter pad.

*sigh*
