i just bought two plants from my local LFS and the plants were inside with the fish, i took them home and noticed that on the leaves, under them are clusters of egg like things with little dots inside them, their clear little balls. looks like frog egg clusters,. ive never seen fish lay eggs, anyone kno what it could be? if they are fish eggs, do they need parents to hatch?

hahaha.. i guess that would depend on what type of fish eggs they are, if even. my guess would be some sort of snail eggs. But who knows? Wait for them to hatch and find out! Get some pictures.

Pics are always cool.

They're probably snail eggs...

Almost guaranteed snail eggs. If they are fish, they don't need the parents. 90% of fish are more likely to eat their eggs than anything else.

I'd almost guarantee you they're snail eggs. I'd put money on it even.

I found some too on my new plants. What is the best way to avoid bringing them into your tank when buying new plants?

Snail eggs. Small, 1/4" long transparent blob with small white specs in it.

check your plants and scrape them off. there are some chemical dips you can use. ive never minded the pond snails in my tanks. if they get to be too numerous, a slice of potato works great as an attractant, then you shake the potato slice off in your yard or wherever there isnt any water.

haha thanks guys, i think ur right i bet they are snail eggs because there were tons of small snails inside... well that will be fun if they hatch, i was hopin for free baby fish eggs darn@ what do fish eggs even look like
