I don't have any nitrite or ammonia problems after cycling. But i've just often wondered.

I have a 29 gallon with:

9 Neon Tetras
4 Bloodfin Tetras
3 Harlequin Rasboras
2 common Platys
4 Corydoras
and 1 rubbernose pleco.

From what I read i'm not, but it's close. Can anyone give me a definitive answer?

Thats a nice assortment, but as far as your question, thats more than i would put in a 29 ........:)

I do have an empty 10 gallon that just needs a heater and a air pump and cycled. Do you suggest removing a few? or is it fine? The fish seem very happy not stressed at all. I usually check the water every 4-5 days and before water changes. Never seen a spike in anything.

I'd say your fine most of the fish you have are small in size. So not much waste produced.

I would say it is okay. Just keep up on water changes.

Personally, I'd pull out the platys and put them in the 10 gallon in favor of adding another 2 harlequin rasboras and another bloodfin tetra... simply to get their numbers up so they're more comfortable.

I agree leave it be :)
