What would 55g allow me to have?

I have an extra 55g in the basement and i'm in the research phase of stocking. I was woundering about what i could keep long term in 55 gallon? stocking lists welcome.
I know i like red scats and monos but they get too big. I also like gobies (SW type) are brackish similar?

there are some similar gobies, my favorite is the knight goby, you could have a breeding trio in a 55g. if i were to stock it i'd go for (1) f8 puffer, maybe 2 (2) knight gobies, (5) guppies, the knight gobies will thin out the population occassionally (3) mollies
