Well, I shoulda told the LFS owner off...
Someone asked the owner if the 10 inch or so Oscar would be ok with a 20 gallon 'high' tank.

The owner hesistated, then must have "seen dollar signs" as he lied to the customer and said "most likely he will be fine."

The Oscar was in maybe a 15 gallon 'sale tank'....

The good thing is I don't think the sale was made.

This is a well kept 'fish only' store that I'd like to stop in again. I won't need any "advice" from that store owner!

And you think that the seller might have been a "plant"?
OH dam@!

Please move this post!!

OuCH... :D

Well, believe it or not, the Oscar was in the 'plant section' of the store!!

That seemed strange too... There were no plant in that tank though. Just no room for a fish that Big! ...

hehehe, I figured that I could take a shot at you...Lord knows you have gone and will continue to go after me when I make a mistake like that. :)

Maybe a "new record" could be made on how many posts come out of this mistake!! LOL :D

Did the shopkeeper have mangled-looking plants for sale at reduced prices? If so, I can tell you where the ones from the O's tank went! :)

The plants looked great! It's a fresh and saltwater store. There's another nearby that the Health Dept. should investigate. Not for sick fish and very poor tank conditions - but for people with runny eyes and noses for stepping in that dump !
