GA Aquarium. Warning: Lots of Pics!

Hey all,

I attended my initial volunteer training / tour today and thought I'd share.

#1- On top of the Beluga Whale Exhibit just before feeding time.

#2- On top of the Tropical Diver exhibit. 60000W of light for the corals!!! :eek:

#3- Some big Cichlids (not sure which type), 18" to 36".

#4- A huge Angel Tank, guesstimating about 300G.

#5- Some friendly Gators.

#6- Electric Cat.

#7- Under the SA River.

#8- These guys are sooo cute!

#9 & 10- Two perspectives on one of the Whale Sharks.
Needless to say, I'm stoked. Going back next weekend for my first exhibit training followed by a volunteer shift.

Thanks. I am nearly giddy over the opportunity. They offer about 100 hours of training and volunteer opprotunities vary from water testing, food prep, exhibit announcers, new introduction acclimation, Vet assistance, etc, etc. The employed staff is actually very small in comparison to the volunteer staff. This could very well develop into an entirely new addiction. lol
 
Freakin excellent ! I am absolutely (what was the word? oh yeah) stoked for you. That's about as excited as I've been all day lol.

I already have a swim session scheduled and need to get my dive cert. ;) So much fun, so little time!

There's an African Cichlid tank (~500G) that is amazing! I thought of you, but the pics didn't turn out at all....
 
Very nice, just finnished reading the article in TFH about GA. Aquarium.
 
HN!!! the pics rock!!! I bet your so ready to go back!! did you decide what you are going to do yet?..I can't wait to see and hear more!!!!
