Hi there,
i have what I thought was cyano growing on my substrate but it has now developed strings attached to it that are an inch or two long. Is this cyano or something scary (Red tide or some weird thing)? It is maroon in color and started as a thin film in a low flow area. Now it is two areas and getting thicker. It seems to trap air bubbles and has strings attached to it.

Should I let it grow so that whatever eats it will also develop or do I get it out somehow?

Thanks a bunch:help:

Sounds like that bad stuff if it has strings attached to it...get some hermits that eat it and take other measures such as flow to get rid of it.

When you say "the bad stuff" do you mean something other than cyano?
