I don't know about the yellow assesor but I have a green clown goby and he eats anything I put in the tank - cyclops, spirulina brine, mysis. I've heard that sometimes they're hard to get eating and they have a reputation for being terrible shippers but mine had been at the store for a few weeks before I bought him so I knew he was eating the frozen stuff. If you can get one locally I would recommend doing so. If you can get the LFS to feed the tank so you can see him eating that would be even better. They're great little fish and I would highly recommend one! Mine has realized that when I turn off the powerheads it's feeding time and zooms straight to the turkey baster when I bring it near his corner. Now I just want to find him a coral that he can hang out in addition to his favorite spots on the rock...

I have sleeper goby's and they eat everything now .
When i got them they ignored the shrimp pellets and flakes , but after a week they run for them lol
They eat sinking shrimp pellets ,flakes, raw shrimp, frozen cubes ,and they sift sand so i inject rotifilers(s/p) into the sand right at their den .

I don't know what to do I can't get the little guy (my new clown goby) to eat and it's been 4 days. I've tried mysis, cyclops, formula 2 frozen, flakes, and I tried soaking the flakes in garlic. What should I do?

He's in quarantine right now so there's nothing for him to eat in the tank and he was eating at the store when I got him but he was still kindof skinny then

I've been told that it's important to make sure that their food is really really small since their throats are even smaller than their mouths so stuff like frozen cyclops is really the best to get them to start eating. Once they start eating that then they'll learn to recognize other frozen stuffs as food. One person likened a whole mysis shrimp to them is like an entire Thanksgiving turkey to us. It was recommended really small food, really small meals maybe twice a day once they start eating to help them put on a weight. I don't really know how true any of it is vs. how anecdotal it is but just what I was told. Hope you guys have some success soon!

Whoo hooooo! I finally got him to eat. I chopped up some mysis into smaller pieces and put it in some tank water with lots of garlic powder for a couple minutes target fed him and it worked:) It was so cute seeing him try to eat one that wasn't chopped up even though he ended up spitting it back out. His little teeth are so cute! I'm so excited that I finally saw him eat I was a little bit worried there. Thanks for all your guys help. Now I can start fattening him up:D
