I walked by my local wal-mart pet section getting dog food and looking at the fish section in disgust.:wall: When I saw a 10 gallon tank set up for only $30.00. Includes lid and light, Filter, and starter food and water. I wanted to use it for all the guppy fry my son's tank keeps putting out and maybe a quarantine tank. I saw the same set up across town for $10.00 more at another wal-mart. This tank would be kept in my garage. Mostly just wanted the Tank and lid. Tanks in my area go for 15.00 and lids for 15.00-up.

Sounds normal to me.

I think I will have to pick it up and get it cycling, the fry are starting to grow.

It says the filter is an aquatech, it's a generic product line of Marineland with out the biowheel. I've actually have a 5-15 version in my sons tank, his eclipse 5 gallon filter broke. So, I got out the dremel and cut an opening on the back and went to Wal-Mart and bought one cheap as stand by till I could get a better one. It's has been on there for 2 months now and the water readings are good. You would think it was factory done.

Here is some pics of my son's tank mod. The Red led lights came out of an exit sign. Except I had to remove them, the double sided tape didn't hold up real well.

Forgot a picture. I did find tanks for around $10.00, but when you throw in a nice lid with light, it's over $30.00 and I would still have to buy a filter and heater.
