Are you sure it's ich? I'd try Googling both "Velvet" and "Saprolegnia" prior to treating for ich...Google that, too.

What size tank is it? What are the inhabitants?

Nitrates? NitrItes? Ammonia? pH? etc?

got 2 oscars and a jack dempsey and also a orange one that looks like the jack, forgot what its called, the orange one from time to time well try to bite the oscars and he picks on the jack. but i know its ich, the ph is alkaine, Ammonia was danger and the rest were safe, i had it checked today but the guy who did it was kinda retarded so i'm going back tomoororw, i don[t want to use medication, like rid-ich cause i gets everything in the tank blue, someone told me to turn the temp up and also do water changes once a week and it should go away? is this true?

Not necessarily. It might speed up the life cycle of the ich some, but it might not kill the ich completely. You never told me how large the tank is, but I can guess that it's not large enough for those fish and stress is manifesting itself...but this could be also due to aggressive tendencies of the orange guy.

I can tell you that a lot of the stress and some of the territoriality is coming from the small size of that tank. Only the JD will be able to survive in there long term, and that's if you do some serious water changes at regular intervals.

You need to eliminate the stress in the tank to be successful. 4 Oscars and a couple of JD's are too much in a 40 gallon tank.

I am guessing that they have ich due to stress and not because you added any fish recently.

An easy way to treat ich is to buy an off the shelf ich medicine (there are loads that wont turn the tank blue) and turn up the water temp to about 82F. Follow the instructions on the medicine and leave the temp up whilst treating.

Ich is very easy to treat.
