I mean I doubt there'd be any static since they are both relatively gregarious and peaceful species, but I was wondering how they would interact in a group... Would they school/forage together, or are their habits noticeably different? I am contemplating getting a few of each rather than a bunch of one, but if they are going to separate into two distinct groups, I'd rather just go with one or the other. What do you guys think?

Ahh..You mean the Pangio doriae? It's not a problem. Whatever the species your Pangio are, they will not be a problem being mixed altogether.;)

Thanks Lup! I knew I could count on you for some insight. My main worry was that since the kulhis come from stillwater environments and the doriaes came from relatively faster moving streams, that there would be behavior differences. As long as the two species will interact as a group, I may just try it.

This one is believed to be Pangio pulla owned by Martin Thoene. I don't remember ever having this one but it seems clear to me you can treat it as you do with other Pangios. Loaches Online hasn't constructed a database for Pangio pulla but the database will still most likely be similar to Pangio kuhlii, Pangio semicincta, etc.

Hmm... The pic of pangio pulla on franksaquarium shows an all pink fish. That striped one looks quite awesome as well. It seems they are out of the pink doriaes, so I may go for the pullas or the anguillaris instead. I'm thinking 6 to 8 of a mixed group will be perfect for my 30 long.
