Well this Octopus HOB I purchased has been a major trial and error process (much harder than the live octopus!) I initally had the last chamber filling very high with water and it scared me..I found out that useless black sponge on the outlet tube clogs so fast itll make your head spin(Its supposed to help with stray microbubbles, but its a bad idea because of how quickly it clogs IMHO). I removed that with no problems until lately the water level is high again. What could be the problem? It usually is supposed to flow over the last plastic baffle like a little waterfall (I hope this makes sense) which is the return chamber. The airline tube is fine, I turned it off and blew into it to make sure no water was in there...there appears to be nothing clogging the tubes either.
While Im asking this I mind as well ask another ? for Octopus owners. How do you position your collection cup? Mine is pretty high up, and it still fills with water fairly fast (a day or so sometimes), is this normal?
