hey guys guess what lol...my boyfriend went to the petshop and bought me a realllly tiny baby angel - its a marble one...the black and silver one. its about 1 cm in length!!! realllllllllly tiny i've never seen such a tiny one in my life! so i put it in a 10 gallon tank with a cave and low filtration so the current cant push it away. i fed her some flakes crushed up and she ate it quickly. she's very friendly. she has red eyes and is completely cute! should i just keep her alone in that 10 gal, and for how long ? apart from flakes what can i feed her? she's so tiny, i don't have brine or anything like that. apart from crushed flakes dont know what else she will be able to eat

Nice. I wouldn't keep it in the 10g for long, angels grow quite quickly. How big are the fish you want to keep it with? and what other fish will be in the tank?

that is probably a very young fish.

may not even be dime sized yet..

it will need to be fed 3-4 times per day for optimal growth,..you should be fine in the 10 for a few weeks maybe a month.
it will need to eventually be moved to a larger tank.
I use 10's for qt of young angels and hospital.

i would like to put her in a 400L which is my angel tank. In that tank I have eight angels - juveniles, but are growing big really quickly. yeah the angel i just got is soooo small i know for a fact if i put her in with the other angels they may eat her. i will try and take a pic! i fed her some crushed flakes today - can i feed her bloodworms? or would that choke her? her mouth looks too tiny to even take in one bloodworm. i usually use the 10 gallon for qt - but didn't have anything bigger with no fish in of similar size! anyways hopefully she'll be ok in there. duke33 what is mts?

that little angel will try and eat anything it can fit in it's mouth.. try chopping the bloodworms up a bit.

Thats a lot of angels for one tank, if any of them start to breed you will have to seperate them.

MTS = multi tank syndrome.

Wow! Six angel tanks. That is so cool. I think the newest tiniest angel will grow fast as long as you feed her often and give her lots of clean water. Soon I am sure she will be big enough to add to one of your six angel tanks. Congrats on the newest angel!

I already have more spawns than I want..

ATM I am just leaving the fry in with parents..so far they eat them but one lasted 4 weeks.

lolll funny you lot said that, because a few hours ago i was browsing through the smaller juwel tanks!!! i'm happy to announce that i will be getting a few more tanks as soon as im back from holiday! :) oh yeah, i chopped the bloodworms in half - took ages to chop them up, i did two bloodworms at a time!!!! anyways, she was trying to swim around with a bulging tummy after that lol. yes, i have been doing two 10% water changes a week! really wish i could get a nice pic of her, she is such a cutie! ;)

i only gave her half a cube of bloodworms - so when i went to check the gravel for anything left over, she had already eaten everything!
