i've seen something similar made for turtles. but its definitely a great alternative for those who don't like the look of all the aquarium equipment in their tanks.
 
i considered buying it once. it looks good, no filter in sight! it may be pricey but its a nice addition if you dont like looking at the equipment and want a more natural look.
 
CK, the flow rate looks fine to me... Just a hidden filter.

Personally, I think 47.99$ is way too much. Just use some cement and styrofoam and any old HOB, and voila. Same idea, any size, any filter brand, any style... You could make it a rock, driftwood, sculpture, anything. And cheaper.

I've actually got one of these in my 10.. I don't know if they still make them anymore, as I got mine on clearance.. It looks fake outright, but in a densely planted tank, it works.
