I probably have about 50 lbs lace rock, 15 lbs in dry reef rock and 2 large coral skeletons that equal about 8 lbs. Along with that is about 20 lbs of live rock. Will the other types of rock, especially the lace rock become "live". Mine is about 7 months old and covered with coralline. I'm just curious if the lace rock is porous enough to eventually become good filtering rock.
