So I finally caught this crab that has been living and has grown pretty large in my tank. What are your thoughts on this crab? Is it safe in my tank? My tank is a 20H with one yellowtail damsel and an ocellaris clown, live rock, and many assorted mushrooms.

Thanks!

ya it looks bigger than it is though haha; its shell is about 1in length, and when its arms are stretched out to the sides, I'd say the whole thing is a little over 3 inches... I'm not sure, but two of my pepper shrimp or w.e the're called disappeared long ago, maybe because of this thing, I don't know. I'm very skeptical about putting it back in the tank... What do you guys think?

Set up a little tank for it. It looks like an interesting little animal, but considering the size of its claws, I would be skeptical about putting it back in your reef.

looks like a fiddler crab to me, with that left claw being so huge

It seems as you guys are also a bit skeptical as I am. I don't have time or room to set up another tank for him, so what do you guys suggest I do with him? Oh and its just in the pictures where the left claw looks bigger, both claws are the same size.

Something that big has to be eating more than detritus,i would put it in the fuge/sump if you have one.Or see if the LFS wants him.

don't kill him. put him in your sump or regugium and just don't forget to feed him. or take him to you LFS
