View Full Version : Poor Channel Cat!!!
These are crappy pics I know. I was in my LFS last week and I saw this guy! It's an albino channel cat, about 6" long but he has NO FINS!!!! No tail, no pectoral fins, no dorsal... NOTHING. I was told that the previous owner had this guy in a tank with some mean chichlids. The LFS went to this guys house to trade out some stuff and saw this cat in one of his tanks and took him. They kept him in the sump at the LFS for about three months and he has started to grow those "nubs" you might can make out. Poor thing you should have seen him trying to swim to eat. At least he is in good hands now....

Wow. I'm so glad the lfs people took this guy in and are giving him a second chance. I wonder if the fins will eventually grow back after so much damage? I really hope so!

That's sickening.
At least it sounds like a responsible LFS.
We have two LFS one does FW and SW where this guys is obviously and the other does only SW. The one that took this guy in is a great group of folks! I actually dont feel bad for this fish only because I know it will get the best care possible. But yea what a terrible thing to actually see.

That is very sad. I wonder what would have happened to that fish if the guy from the LFS hadn't seen him. :headshake2:
