I heard today some one relate what a Seattle Aquarium maintenance person told them - that the life of the fish in aquariums is cut to a third less, because the motors running the filters screw up the natural electromagnetism in the water, and that if you have some electromagnets like they use at the aquarium, it's good for the fish.
