well im moving in august whoooooohooooooo! bad news is i have neglected my tank the past few months giving most of my livestock to friends i've only kept the eel, clowns, and goby as i know these will survive the dreaded move. im got some extra cash and my lfs charges 260 bucks for a 50 gpd filter so i went to ebay and found this one. is this decent?

It's ok, but there are slightly better units in the same price range (+/-$20). If you like, check out melevsreef.com or thefilterguys.biz for some other ideas.

Now nobody attack, but, I bought a 100gpd unit from ebay and attached a 40.00 DI canister to it and I'm getting 0 ppm into my reservoir. Total cost including shipping was 140.00 (100 for the ro/di and 40 for the canister). It's a 6 stage ro/di. You can get 0 ppm without the additional canister, but the small di on the ro/di exhausts so fast, I had to change it weekly. Now I change it monthly.

Just trying to help.
