I am pretty sure my Peppered corys have layed eggs. I have 6 of them in a 29g tank. Last thursday I switched from a 20 long to a 29 gallon, and I re-used only 5 gallons so it was like a BIG water change. I also put in wisteria, my first real plant except for java moss. There are 4 black skirt tetras, 1 flame gourami, 1 bloodfin tetra, (soon to be given back to the LFS) and 1 oto plus the 6 corys in the tank. The soonest I could get a breeders cup or whatever it's called is thursday, MAYBE wensday. Can I just put my regular aquarium net over them to keep them safe or not. I just discovered them tonight. The eggs

one of my corys is still VERY fat. Could it lay some more eggs? Could the fry swim through the net?

They probably could swim through the net. She probably will lay more, when mine were spawning they were at it several days in a row.

My peppered corys usually go at it for a few days, rest a few days, then go again. This continues for about a month, then they take time off. I'm sure there is more to their patterns or cycles though...this is just my experience so far. The fry are very cute.
