So I noticed a couple of black spots on my Clownfish on it's right side near its fin. I have not idea what it could be - water is awesome (no Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates, great Calcium, great PH, great Salinity, great temp), he/she eats hardily and regularly. I do have a lot of Aiptasia, could these be sting marks? Can anyone help me?

if you have any corals it looks like it is a coral sting from a euphillia perhaps.

I agree................brn spots are generally stings, sometimes i see them on my red clowns .
But so far havent seeen them on my clarkii's and they are all over my bubble coral ,i dont understand why they dont have any from it .
clarkii's tend to try and host anything and everything they can .
I wouldnt worrie too much he will learn.

I have the same dot in the exact same place (under the fin). My clown has had it for 3 months now and she is healthy. Its weird because there isn't much that can sting her. I don't have many corals in that tank and she hosts the corner of the tank.
