Both of my Bolivian rams are showing white flecks on their heads, and ONLY their heads. The spots don't really look like ick, but more like tiny bread crumbs--it's bigger than ick spots, and only on their heads. Also, it's only on my rams (so far?). I tried to get some pics, but my camera's just not good enough to catch the spots. My tank's levels are nitrates 20ppm, nitrites 0ppm, ammonia 0ppm. I have Maracyn 2, Quick Cure, Fungus Cure, bacterial-fighting medicated food, a little Melafix, aquarium salt, and a little natural Ich Attack by Kordon. What do you guys think this could be?

I forgot to mention--they seem to be eating fine, though the ram with more spots is hovering in the upper levels of the tank, which is unusual. Also, it's a 120 gal tank, so keep that in mind please when recommending treatments. ;)

Transfer them to a cycled 10 gallon tank. From there, I would recommend adding maracyn and maracyn 2 together and continue treatment up to a few days

My quarantine tank is already in use for a new platy with some fungus; I haven't got another one. Also, I'd hesitate to quarantine these guys together. In the big tank it's fine, as they've staked out their own territories. They'll square off and pick at each other in close quarters.

My bolivian has some specks too, looks like glitter in the tail and fins, but it has never spread to his body or any of his tank-mates. The tank he his in hovers between 76-78 and params are perfect, 0 ammon/nitrite and 5 nitrates, and he eats and swims fine too.

hard to tell from the description..you are going to need to try and get some pics if you want any kind of accuaracy.

without some leads you will be treating hap hazard in essence a shotgun approach which may not be very effective nor wise. some meds should not be mixed.
