I am planning to add pressurized CO2 to my 55 (230W, 165W running) this weekend and I believe I'll need to add ferts at the same time. I want to go the dry route and am just looking for suggestions on what to get from rexgrigg. Tank currently has some vals, sprites, hygro, and a purple plant that I traded for, but forgot the name of. Of course, I'm also growing algae quite well right now.

The purple plant is Alternanthera reineckii.

Fertilizer Combo Pack is probably your best bet.

K2S04
KN03
KH2P04
CSM+B Plantex or a Chelate mix
Maybe a GH Booster depending on your source water. Either Grumpy's or Barr's.

EDIT: Congratulations and welcome to the dark side.:)

Have a look at

http://www.aquariumfertilizer.com/

Slightly more user friendly system.

They ship faster, you don't have to send any kind of email, and you don't have to worry about whether or not you've done the math right on your purchase(credit card or otherwise).

LOL, He's not that bad.
Orlando at Green Leaf is really great at customer service, he's always available to answer questions or concerns too.

Thanks folks! I'll check out those links.

Thanks Ice, I copied it down this time.

What size tank would y'all recommend? I already have the system (Red Sea Pro). Am I going to have to get rid of my HOB?

Biggest that will fit where you want it.

I've heard 20 lbs lasts a year 10 lbs 6 months.

POWER OF THE PIG
I have heard that one of the best tableted fertilizers that you can use is quite simply Guinea Pig droppings, as the kids have one I'm collecting, drying and testing this out, 13 different tanks plants and temperatures. I would be interested if anyone else has done this and what results they got. He (the GP) is been fed fresh grass only so that the results wont be skewed by any additives the commercial foods use

fresh grass with which fertilizers? I would be worried about how fish safe this is as who knows what could end up being toxic...

Inorganic fertilizers tend to be rather safe in moderation as stated on many sites.

They are usually water soluble and come in the form of salts or other ionic compounds.
