Does anybody have in mind any pleco catfish that eat brown and/or hair algae? I'm trying to find one that stays under five inches. Thanks in advance

Bristlenose plecos might eat the brown stuff, dunno bout the hair algae. and they stay within 4-6 inches long.

I don't suggest fish to eat algae. An algae scraper will do wonders with diatoms. IMO, I see no reason for both kinds of algae to be out of the way unless they obscure the visual effects so much.
