The most species I've seen in one pile, I will be aiming for more species in one pile in the near future :D

Species are:

palmas palmas, retropinnis, delhezi, weeksii, calabaricus, lapradei, senegalus (long fin)

VERY COOL!!!

Thank you G! A polypterus or ten would look awesome in that monster tank you have! :D

NICE PIC!

Thank you Jen! :) I had just finished moving them to the new 120g (had to downsize from a 180g :( and I hadn't added the driftwood yet so they all cuddled to feel secure. :)

I have 9 species right now, I've had more in the past, but since I downsized I had to sell some :( I've got an order coming in soon with a couple rare pieces :D

Very Cool!

Thanks Rich! Whenever I notice crazy things like this in the tank I dive for the camera haha

No, I haven't kept that one, but I had a teugelsi, which is equally brand new to the hobby :D

Ansorgii just doesn't catch my fancy. Looks like an endli with a strip of color removed horizontally.

The teugelsi I got, caught a fungal infection after I treated it for parasites it had (common in wild caught polypterus), but despite how much I fought for the fish I couldn't save it. Luckily it was still in quarantine, and the other fish I received didn't contract any secondary infections after being treated for parasites.

Here is my baby teugelsi before it died:

Thanks BFK! I've got 6 of them from two different purchases. The first two I got back in January, they're about 6", the other 4 I got a couple months ago, but they're growing fast!

There's this cool asian food store close by to where I live. They have a restaurant, a couple gift shops, a boba bar, and a mini fish store inside! :D

That's where I got my RTGG for a great price at 8".

hey - what is that bichir that is front and center with the many spines down his back? I'm trying to figure out what kind mine is (he was given to me by someone sick of fish keeping). The one in the front center looks like what I have. Thanks! i have pics at http://knorq.wordpress.com/2008/05/21/aquarium-update-52008/

The bichir you're referring to in the picture is a Polypterus senegalus "long fin"

I peeped the pics in the link and you have a Polypterus senegalus :)
