Amazed at the refugium

I've had my refugium up and running for 2 weeks. I eliminated the bio-wheel I was using about a week ago. I've had chaeto, LR and LS running the whole 2 weeks and 7 mangroves in for a week. My nitrates, which are ALWAYS about 30 ppm, are now 5 ppm. I haven't done anything different. Still changing 10% weekly.
Now for the last step, I ordered a bottle of copepods/amphipods at piece-of-the-reef. I"m sure my mandarin will go crazy!!!

Just received my 500 pack yesterday. I put them in with the fuge shut down. AFter everything settled, I started it back up. I could see amphipods swimming aall over. Looks like copepods too although most of those are probably juveniles and too hard to see. We'll see if they reproduce!!
