Found this little boy/girl on a busy road... She/he will be going to the vet very soon to make sure he/she is healthy and dosn't have FeLV or something.
I may already have home for him/her, and I should know in an hour or two if they are going to adopt her. Other than being very hot, dehydrated, and anemic from fleas, she/he was ok. Today(after getting rid of the fleas and getting fluids back in his/her system) he/she is alot better, and is acting like a normal kitten.
If she/he does come back FeLV positive, it really won't matter, because there are no other cats in the indoor home he/she will have.
(she/he looks weird in the pic because I ha just woken him/her up)

As you can see, Tink is very interested in what this little thing is that stole her bed.

Very cute kitten! It is wonderful of you to take him/her out of the wild, especially before he/she becomes feral and adds to the growing cat population. Hopefully that home will adopt him/her and provide a loving family.

Good job. I found a similar looking stray kitten along a highway before who I named "Lucky". Needless to say I found out why he was dropped off along the highway: he was the spawn of satan. :D

kittah!!
Odd. We just recently did the same thing, took in an 8-week-old kitten found on a major highway bridge. We're keeping her though, that makes 3. She's off to the vet as soon as it's safe to have her spayed and the other shots and required things.
However, we did kidnap and adopt out a local cat that was being terribly treated.
Cute cat! Looks like your dog thinks that it's lunch. :D

Very slowly lol I had to bath him(we'll call it a him.. Seems to be a bit slow, must be a boy ;) ) with baby shampoo because he smelled like pee anyway, then spent an hour or so using a flea comb.
Cute cat! Looks like your dog thinks that it's lunch.
She seems to think it's going to get her or something.. because when it comes out of the cage she leaves the room really fast lol and she'll only peek at the kitten through the side of the cage.

Yes, I've had to do things like that before, one was a kitten that some people tied under thei car for 3 days before we finally took it, it took her about a week on IV fluids before she started acting like a kitten, the vet said if she had stayed out even one more day she would have died.
Then there was a cat I saw with a group of teens, they were forcing the cat into their dog's face and when it bit them they tied one of their belts around it and started slamming it on the ground. by the time I got there they have already broken 3 of her ribs and fractured a leg, no to mention alot of swelling and missing teeth.
Her tail was also broken in 2 places, like she'd been picked up by it.
THEN one cat was being pulled down the street behind a bike on a dog leash, which was choking it too.
All of them are in good homes now.. those are just the ones with bad stories, I've fostered 16 others, and had feral cats fixed.

Well, the lady who was supposed to get him didn't, but I already have a nice lady who wants him, she has an older cat and a kitten, who needs a buddy.
Her cats are indoors and well taken care of.
She's coming to get him this evening, since the traffic from Va beach to here is horrible right now, because everyone is trying to go the the beach for the weekend.

His new mom picked him up a few hours ago.. I know she's the right owner, the back of her car had spay and neuter stickers, I <3 my cats ect. :D
It always feels good to get an animal from a bad place and find them a good forever home.

Just an update, kitten has gotten fixed and is very happy, she keeps the other kitten busy, so their old tom cat can just lay around and won't be pestered by the younger cats.
