Could you, would you, or do you consider yourself to be a resident expert on a particular subject? The subject need not be about fish, plants, or inverts but can be. The reason I ask is because I would like to see (and maybe you would too) how diversified our members are.
My areas that I consider myself to be well-versed in:
Computers:
Systems Engineer
Certified Network Tech
Certified Computer Tech
I also taught Computers Systems I at our local Community College
Maintenance:
Certified Master Mechanic (Diesel and Gas)
Board Certified Heavy-Duty Recovery Specialist
Other:
Registered Conventional Explosive Ordinance Specialist
Surprisingly I have regained memory of a lot of it but not all. Had it not been for the strokes, I was a Computer Systems Consultant when I wasn't working on trucks or race. cars. Now trying to learn all I can about my wet friends. It's not just a hobby anymore it's more than that.
How about you?

I am the "go to" guy on numerous topics for most of my friends, but I don't consider myself an expert on much of anything. I am just not afraid to try.

and, i guess, i am the resident in dogs, ,fashion and advice on men for my friends...lmao, however. i am by no means an expert in any of those...
i am also the local fish "expert", and have been called a time or two for help with computers.
although, i am no expert there either!! i just happen to know more than most in those areas.

I seem to be the goto guy for my mother when it comes to knowing random information that's otherwise useless or trivial. I actually surprise myself with some of this. Pretty well versed in import performance modifications as I've been heavily involved in the movement since the late 90's. Just tought myself a ton of information in regards to flourescent lights (ballasts, bulbs, and other necessities) and am learning every day in regards to the actual aquarium hobby.
i'm no fish expert i can tell you that LOL.
i am an expert in mobile phone technology along with mobile data and blackberry.
i actually teach these at work.

I'm the smartest man fish-wise for many, many miles. I'm also good at:
World of Warcraft (Shammies FTW!!)
Typing
Eating
Sneezing
Chuck Norris joke-reciting
Chicken catching
Chair-leaning
Plate-licking
Fishing line-tangling
Grumbling
Doing retarded swinging motions with ornamental swords
Also the master of lazieness... It's a wonder my fish are still alive.
Things I'd like to be better at:
Boomeranging
Archery
Marksmanship
Acrobatics
Aquascaping
