Hi all, so I got the all set up. Here's what I got:

I think I'll name the red cap Puck, and I'm considering Falstaff or Dogberry for the gold one. I'd like to keep with the Shakespearean theme. Maybe Beatrice?

Sorry for the crummy pics; they're off my phone.

The pet store told me that dang snail would eat the algae I'm beginning to get. So far it has cruised over every surface of that tank, steadfastly avoiding anything covered with algae. I don't know why I still listen to their advice...

From what I understand a mystery snail will eat "some algea" but it will be like in a line. Not like a pelco. But a pelco might eat your plants. You could try an "otto cat", I think I read somewhere that they eat algea. Look it up before you get one, I may be wrong. I'm having trouble with hair algea in my planted tank so I purchased some rosey barbs. They are still in qt so I can tell you if they do good or not.
 
Oto's do eat diatoms, though ours are really picky about the algea waffers... our betta likes them better. lol
but, if they run out of algae or diatoms, they can starve to death...
 
Yeah, I think I'm at the stocking limit right now. Heh, already thinking about upgrading to a 55... Maybe then I cold put some more of the little buggers in.
