T5HO retrofit ???

Hi I have the Coralife lunar 265 watt pc hood on my tank right now. I have an AGA 72 bow and I want to get rid of the lights I have now and get a canopy with a retrofit kit.

My questions are: can I put the lights in any canopy? If I get the default plastic canopy that is made by AGA can I get a 6 bulb kit and put it in there? I have read that ice cap kits are the best. I want to get 3 14k bulbs and 3 actinics. It would be a total of 324 watts. Can I do this? If so, how?

Will I be able to run each set of lights off timers like I have everything on timers right now? I have no corals as of yet but I want to be able to get sps and lps.

Not sure that I would put T-5's with an IC ballast in a plastic canopy as they do get hot. You should get individual reflectors for the bulbs and make sure you get quality bulbs, what brand bulbs are you looking at??
