All of the major name brand stores (A&F, Hollister, etc.) are lame IMO. You pay more for "in style" clothes. I don't know about you, but I don't like clothes with holes in them. Or skin-tight stuff. Wal-Mart, Big 5, Kmart, etc. FTW.

lol I think Im to old for them stores. Well I actually have never been in them. lol Well except AE and Wally World. I only go to walmart if I am in dire need, like blood gushing dire need. Other than that I will go to Boscov's or Kohls. Sometimes a thrift store too. Get most of my kids stuff there and they are in brand new condition like the one poster had put!

well, for those that feel its to expensive to shop at those stores, ..you just need to shop often, watch the sales, and get to know the employees. In my aero store, i can get clothes cheaper than at walmart, and the store employees are awesome!! if they have something in my size in the back room getting ready to come out for sale, ..they will bring it out and show it to me! they also do price matching in some of them. you just have to be cost conscious. I just got the cutest sun dress at aero for 8 bucks, ..couldn't find it that cheap at walmart.

Good advice, but I don't shop where I do for strictly monetary reasons (though I am poor). I just don't like the clothes at the stores you like, nevermind the price. Trendy stuff bugs me. If I were going to shop at a more specialized store, it would be more likely to be Bass Pro Shop than Aeropostale.

my friends call me before they leave for a shopping trip. i tell them where the sales are, ..what stores they would be most likely to find something they would like in, ..and about specific items they should buy. lmao, ..Its a talent I swear. i always get a call as soon as they are done, to tell me how right i was! I don't exactly like to shop, but I do like good deals, and getting what i want. I can be in and out of a store in 15 minutes . Like i said, always know where the sales racks are. and know the help. They know my size and will bring me "special items" out , while i grab what I want.
Good advice, but I don't shop where I do for strictly monetary reasons (though I am poor). I just don't like the clothes at the stores you like, nevermind the price. Trendy stuff bugs me. Well, i am in the middle of farm land, ..and a polo shirt is sunday wear here, ..but if i can get a new pair of jeans that make my butt look great at the same price i can get a used, or walmart pair, ..I am so going to. It has nothing to do with trends. I dress comfortable.

Fair enough. Women's clothes are different, though; the distinctions are more subtle and the varietiy greater. Men's clothes only come in a handful of varieties: regular, trendy, fancy, real fancy, and weird. I grew out of weird, and I'm too poor for real fancy, so I wear regular and sometimes fancy (for special occasions).

lol, I'm with judge, set me down in a mall and I will track the sales! Victoria's Secret (they have the BEST jeans!), Frederick's (super cute date-night shirts), Anne Taylor, and non-work/weekend/comfy clothes from Old Navy. The stores in the poll are usually over-priced, and VERY teen-centered..... I do all I can to avoid getting carded for a bottle of wine. And for all you tall people types, i shop for hubby (6'5") at Mervyn's and JC Penny quite a bit. JCP and Macy's both actually have a (small, but nice) selection of Tall Men's wear.

i have eclectic taste in cloths, and like to mix and match my styles, ..I can wear jeans and a t, just as well as I can wear heels and a dress. I can wear just about any style, or mix and match styles.

My wife buys my clothes! Not too hard to find jeans, tank tops, and flannels.
A bit off topic: My wife tossed a pair of shorts at me the other day and said "see if these fit you so I do not have to return them" They were a little loose but I could wear them. Turns out they were too small on my 12 year old!! 33 years old and I fit in a kids 14...Yikes!
none of those, there are some i have never even heard of.
i always go with designers for my good gear like ted baker, hugo boss, versace etc.
for my kicking around stuff i just go with more sport make or o'neil, quicksilver.

oooh, quicksilver made me think of fox, ..and pac sun!! love that store to, ..lmao, ( i think I shop way to much)
I love high end designers for acs. but stay away from them in clothing because I change wardrobes to fast, ..i hate wearing the same thing more than twice.
