Do "ufo's" have to be incredibly advanced (advanced in getting here...), or could they be flying around sampling air molecules and gnats? :D

Example: Mars probes...

If any aliens wanted to know about us earth people they just have to watch an antique show..."they rule the earth?" "yes they rule the earth" "so then lets go down and mess with them and shine lights in their faces"

if they are so advanced, why is all they want dirt, cows, and to make annoying crop circles

Keep in mind, 'earth-like' in this article means 'roughly the same size'. Consider how Earth-like Mars, Venus, Mercury, or any of the larger moons in the solar system are, and that should give you an idea of how likely it is that these planets are habitable.

they arent saying theyre 'earth-like' based on the size. these planets are all bigger than earth, one almost 10x bigger they said..
"super-earths".. meaning they look like earth, just bigger.. hence the super lol
did u read the article thing?

I did read the article. I said 'roughly' the same size, which these are; most planets found previously have been many times larger than Earth, more like Jupiter. And the astronomers have no way of knowing if they look like Earth; they haven't actually seen the planets. They only know the planets exist because of the irregularities they cause in their star's movement.

the media is mad stupid. this article is clearly leading people to believe 'earth-like' is referring to.. earth-like(water, green etc). They shouldve said something like "these planets are earth-like only based on size, we have no proof that they are earth-like in any other way b/c we can only see them through a telescope"
why do they want people going around and spreading rumors?
i knew the artists sketch thing was sketchy.
this peeves me off. sorry notoph btw

Heh, scientific articles in the non-scientific press are usually pretty bad. It's just the way of things. No need to apologize to me.
