Hi all,
I have a 29 gallon planted with two goldies in it. I have a massive algae problem (my glass is almost opaque), with both brown and green varieties. I'm wondering if ottos would be a good solution, and how few I could get away with. Thanks!

I dont know if Ottos will make that much of a difference with algae, and the goldies may eat them being so small. I would say spend the money on a good mag float !

Ok, good advice. I was kinda worried about potential overstocking. Thanks!
Also, algae loves light. If your tank is in sunlight, or if the aquarium lights are on for more than 8 hours a day, that might be part of the problem.
Also, the otocinclus catfish is a tropical fish and would be more comfortable in warmer waters than your goldies prefer.
Magfloat is the best option, I think.

I would be more worried about the goldies eating them too.... plus, they are tropicals, I think.....
I agree. Best not mix both.:)
