I just got my tank going and with the hotter months coming, I'd like to keep my temps under control. I ordered a Prime 1/10th Mini chiller and plan to run it inline from the output port from the XP3. This will be cooling approx 31g of water (tank + filter volume).
The specs on current's site say it needs about 7-12GPM which is 420-720GPH. The XP3 does 350GPH assuming no losses. But with the media and chiller in play, there will probably be a significant loss in flowrate. Will I be ok with the decreased flowrate cycling the tank?
Will the chiller be highly inefficient with the lowered flowrate?
Thanks!
