Ok before I went on the bike trip, I managed to move one of my three baby synos. I moved the biggest baby, the one I feel is a hybrid due to hir shape. After much thinking, I decided the other two were just too small for the move. Synos are not terribly predatory, though they do keep a pecking order. So I left them together in the 30 gal.
It was an interesting move...Luckily water was not much of an issue since I always bring the water here.
My three big synos hadn't seen another syno for many years. Plus I was told hybrids are more aggressive then regular purebred synos. What would happen?.
When they didn't find each other, I gave one of the old cats a lil push to meet the newcomer. There was some touching and feeling and that was it, the new syno was accepted. I guess that's the syno way of things. I checked them when I came back from the bike trip and they are all buddy buddy playing together. The lil hybrid is looking very good. Perky, active and probably loving having more swimming space.
