I've been fishing for many years and pelicans have always been
"free-loaders" - it's just the way the are. They don't get hurt eating/recycling fish scraps at cleaning tables. Pelicans don't choke and die like the article wants you to believe.

The question is, who is the guy that invented the "fish waste recycle bins"???
Where there's money to be made, there's a brand new law!

Eventually the 'law' will apply to regular, individual fisherman.

I'm losing hope for society...

Time for another law...

lol

you want cold..move up here..actually we are pretty tame compared to real cold.

My Dad lives near Tallahassee...I spoke to him this last winter(he lived here and recently moved back)
he was telling me how cold it was there..
I said "Pops..puleeeze..." he started laughing.

Thats truly sad, but I've never seen a pelican in an an area with a cold winter, ie. california and baja coast. Looks like the state of florida wants another way to make more money off the fishing there.

Imagine how easy it is to go to any dock with fishermen cleaning their catch and fining them just because pelicans want to eat the leftovers?

I have not seen people go out of their way to "feed" the pelicans. Maybe seagulls, but not pelicans. It's hard to believe there's a law about this...

Why don't they take it one step further. Make another law against "feeding the catfish".

"No fish scraps are to be thrown back into the environment since it's possible a catfish could choke on the bones."
